We've some American friends coming for a short visit and they've asked if there are any Mexican restaurants around? The only one I know of was in Colombo Shopping Center. Are there any others?

They've decent Margaritas. The menu is similar to that of the US Chili's Restaurants with some cutbacks on the listed items.

El Sombrero in Alcantara is nice :)

Just dropping into this thread and as a girl from Texas I have to say to Ana Miranda - nice menu but in my opinion it's more of a Portuguese menu á la Mexico - no Sopa Azteca, Chiles Rellanos....only 2 items for vegetarians! No offense intended and I'll drop by to give the place a try when I'm in the area.

Efoskett - any idea of what's on the menu?
