My family is coming for a visit in a couple of weeks. One of them needs to have gluten free food. Where can I find what they'll need?

Gluten Free Food
Hi Mike,
don't worry too much about this - my daughter has the same problem.
All real food, meat, fish, fruit, veg etc are totally gluten free, most drinks are (except whisky and other grain distilled spirits).
The only no-no's are bread, pasta, some breakfast cerials, and many pre-processed foods (sauces, ketchup, ready meals - many use flour/gluten as a stabiliser / thickener hence the problem)
These are really the only items you have to watch out for.
Eat real food and make your own fresh creamy / herby/tomato based sauces and your guest shouldn't have any problems
But for those little treats, cakes etc Continente and Intermarche amongst other do have a good range of gluten free products
Bom appetito
Steve
Thanks guys - I've been really worried about it and you've made it much easier.
