Looking to buy in the Cascais area

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this forum, and thought I would let you guys know that I'm considering buying in the Lisbon coast sometime next year, as I'm downsizing in London.

I'm a Brazilian woman who has been living in the UK for the past 20 years, and just miss the sun so badly. Portugal seems like a nice compromise as I have 3 sons with whom I want to keep close contact, and flying to Brazil to see mum might not appeal to them as often as hope for.

Given the fact that the Language is not a problem, does anyone have some tips on where should I be looking over the Internet to 'shop' for affordable properties? My budget is tight (around £250K), and considering that I will not make the move over for the next 10 years (kids are 17, 14 & 9), I wonder if I should invest in a flat in Lisbon around the financial area, and have it let out for a couple of years, then sell and eventually buy the seaside property I'm dreaming of?
